from the event will go towards providing a scholarship for a DPS teacher to
attend a full-week Facing History and Ourselves Summer Institute.

Eyes on the Prize is the most comprehensive television documentary ever produced on the American civil rights movement. The international non-profit Facing History and Ourselves is part of a nationwide outreach campaign being managed by Blackside, the producer of Eyes on the Prize. This campaign is in support of the first six hours of the series’ historic rebroadcast on PBS’s American Experience on October 2nd , 9th , and 16th . An additional eight hours will be available at a later date.

A portion of the purchase of each coloring book will be placed in a scholarship fund at Young Americans Bank to benefit the three exemplary students creators as they continue to pursue their academic goals beyond high school. Click on the link to read more.
