A warm welcome to our Ambassadors

Women for Education is extremely honoured and proud to present our recently recruited WFE Ambassadors, Dima Ghawi and Phoebe Okowa! As WFE Ambassadors Dhima and Phoebe will officially represent WFE and spread the word about our organisation and our vision of empowering the next generation of female leaders!

Dima Ghawi is an International Leadership Speaker & Executive Coach. She ignites the untapped potential in women across the globe, empowering them to shatter limitations and become courageous, purpose driven leaders. Dima draws from two decades of corporate experience leading global teams and developing future leaders worldwide and is the founder of a global talent development company with a primary mission of advancing individuals in leadership.

Phoebe Okowa is a Professor of Public International Law at Queen Mary, University of London. Professor Okowa was born and educated in Kenya. She graduated at the top of her class with a first class honours degree from the University of Nairobi and was admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. On joining WFE as an ambassador she says

‘I feel enormously privileged to be part of an organization committed to transforming the lives of women. I was taught and nurtured by a community that absolutely believed in the power of education to transform lives. The publicly funded education I got in Kenya and at Oxford set me a completely different trajectory and changed my own life chances. I was the first person in my immediate family to go to University and it would an enormous privilege to play a small role in changing the lives of others’

By sharing the ambition to make a difference and inspire women to become leaders of the future, we are certain that the contributions of our ambassadors to Women for Education will be invaluable. Women for Education is incredibly thankful for these women’s commitment to our organisation!
